Confidence.
Saturday, last week, it was a beautiful sunny day and I was feeling different than usual. At the moment I'm listening to a lot of R’N’B and in general music that makes my soul dance. So I wanted to portrait that in my outfit. As soon as I put my outfit together I thought yes! ...and…what? at the same time *laughs* and asked myself “Well, is that really me?”
One second later I slapped myself in the face (For the most part I’m very kind to myself but sometimes you just need a “pick me up” so that’s exactly what I needed because we just think too much bullshit of ourselves…).
But on the other side I really do love this question because the answer will be always the same… Yes, it’s you.
No matter what you’re wearing or how you’re wearing it – IT IS AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE YOU.
Whether or not you want it to make it your own – that’s the next question.
Since my answer was yes I was ready to go and checking myself one last time in the mirror – I was feeling myself.
I felt fresh and somehow new and bossy… I felt confident!
Leaving the flat with some tropical tunes in my earholes, the first people (it was a couple) who came towards me starred in horror – I just smiled back at them.
When I crossed the street, people in the car started beeping, making funny faces and even screaming out of the car window, which I didn’t pay attention to cause *with a whispering voice*
My music that I was listening to was too good.
Meeting up with my Sis and her boyfriend in the city and the first thing she said when she saw me was “What the hell is this hat doing on your head?”
I laughed and my answer was “Its doing fashion!”
As I said in the beginning it was a beautiful day, we did a bit of shopping but also all of this made me think…why do we people care too much about other people’s looks?
Nowadays it’s still pretty let’s say daring to just wear the hell you like or what or how you feel.
And I’m saying “still” in a sense of disappointment because we should boost our confidence instead of wasting our energy with speculations of other people’s thoughts about our outfits (AND selves!).
We should be excited about trying out something new, something unexpected and not be scared and under pressure of a “perfect” society that "knows about" the dos and don’ts.
So that’s why confidence is sooooo important!
When you are confident nothing really can beat you. Not the shocked faces, not the funny looks, no unnecessary comments you might get because they can’t vibe with your being.
You know, let’s be honest…by the end of the day it is just clothes and we as beings with different tastes and preferences put an outfit together. So instead of mentally or physically putting your finger on a person with a different style than yours, make this finger a full hand so you can high five each other and call it a fashionable day.
Summer dress.
I’m feeling good
I’m feeling airy
I’m feeling free
A beautiful day it’s going to be
Sun kisses my face
You closing your eyes
Waiting for a big surprise
A Lovelace
I’m singing you in my summer dress
It’s simple and light
Full of words of delight
I hope I could meet your high expectation
But if not
I’m sorry that you didn’t understand my translation
You weren’t the right stop for me
Never mind
I’m feeling good
I’m feeling airy
I’m feeling free
A summer dress. Something, that I love so much as summer itself. You really feel airy and free and especially good cause its summer and you wearing a summer dress *laughs...oh god*.
Besides that dresses in general are awesome, its only one piece of clothing so you don't have to think too much about putting an outfit together. And its so much fun cause you have so much to choose from.
At the moment I'm very into floral prints. I love flowers. And I love short cuts. Also, I'm a BIG jewellry lover - more is MORE is my mantra, you know *giggles*.
You can wear a little black dress or a long maxi dress perhaps a sequin dress or an office dress...they're all so different but by the end of the day they're ALL the same. They are dresses.
You may wonder, why did I shoot the pictures in black and white?
Well, I love to get your imagination to get involved *winkswinks* so my closing words for this one are stay mysterious and wear that bloody summer dress!
Keep it simple.
What a week...!
First of all I definitely have to mention the beautiful summer breeze that FINALLY arrived us. It still doesn't feel real but every time you go outside - the sun will kiss your face...dreamy!
And thats what my Dad and I did last Sunday. My dad on the camera (that was actually real fun *laughs*) and I enjoying, getting snogged by the sun.
Looking back on these pictures really made me think...why do we sometimes find it so hard to be happy?
On Thursday I was at the About You Awards in Munich. I was invited to do so in February and have to say it was a great(!) event.
I met so many nice people, danced my feet off and all in all had a blast.
But it also made think about things like success, goals and visions and popularity...?!
Sometimes everything gets to much I feel and my mind likes to play games with me - typical problem of an over thinker (MEEEEE). But looking back on these pictures where I was enjoying the sun, feeling my outfit and spending some quality time with my father made me realize again that we have to KEEP THINGS SIMPLE and just live in the moment WITHOUT THINKING TOO MUCH!
Life would be much easier sometimes if I could turn my mind off for a hot minute and just yeah keep it simple, u know?
But one thing I'm now doing for a good time and actually worked wonders, is meditation. It's so good to calm down, relax and just reflect thoughts and feelings in the most chilliest way possible. And also reading stuff that Oh My God makes you notice and see things that were obvious but not really but omg yes...(*smiles*) Current reading material is called "On the way to yourself - Be who you really can be"...goosebumps over here but yeah keep it simple and enjoy your journey that is called life!
One Star.
Everything started in the age of nine
A little girl dressing fine
Was gifted her first pair of star shoes
And there we had it
The star blues
Twelve years later
Vibing greater
The star is back
Back for good and even better
Now I’m stading there
And writing you out there a little letter
Dear beings,
Have you ever looked up into our nature ceiling?
By day bright and blue
By night there are stars shining through
Can I tell you something?
Imaginary drumming
You are a star
No matter how, where and who you are
You are one star.
Find the colour in your life.
Well.......this week started rather unexpectedly terrible...I simply say food poisoning..."beautiful thing" (NOT) which I don't even want for my worst enemy to be honest.
But anyways I spent a few days home at my parents house, my mum being my personal nurse which was actually very nice cause I really treasure it when people that I love care for me.
Nevertheless today's about colour. Something else that I love and as I said it in the title, today is the day where you should start looking for the colour in your life!
Spring is finally here (thank God!!!), flowers start blooming, the trees show their first leaves, days are longer and nights are charming again.
Perfect timing to look out for some colour if ya ask me *winkwink....giggles* !
And with colour I don't just mean the colours itself - it could be anything really...What I'm trying to say is (oh man...I'm always trying *laughs*) find YOUR happiness AND especially try to find it in the smallest things cause that will make Your Life Colourful!
The weather situation is my colour, my family (and this week especially my mum/nurse) is my colour, my health is my colour, my papaya every morning is my colour, my music that I'm listening to every day is my colour (one of my faves tbh), the role of film that I shot in Munich a few weeks back is my colour and my new lil colourful puzzle of joy which I just have to look at and I'm happy *smiles*...I could go on and on but I'll leave it here and let you continue...
lots of love and colour to you

Sun is in the sky oh why oh why would I wanna be anywhere else? Sun is in the sky oh why oh why would I wanna be anywhere else?
Well, to be honest...I don't wanna be anywhere else!
My first Love in life (I was 9 to be exact *smirks*) was a beaut called London. I don't know what it was or what this gorgeous one did with me but I think thats what love's about, right? It was love at first sight, which actually happened 8 years after...in the age of 17, it was finally time. I've waited friggn 8 years for this moment and I was so nervous that already on the plane, I thought I'm getting a heart attack.
My expectations were so high that I almost got scared...Was my dream city just a dream?
NO. Let me tell ya sumthin - SHE WAS BETTER THAN A DREAM!
And let me tell you sumthin else - I'm still UTTERLY in love with her *smiles*.
Last week we had a sweet reunion, thanks to Zak, who was utterly amazing and literally burned the bush down like he never did something else. I also had THE BEST time with my danish Babes which I met at Koko last year. Thats what I love about music - it brings people together in the nicest way possible *beaming*.
As my title says it, oh yes I took my film camera with me which is probably my new fave thing ever (like for reals!) and just snapped away when I was walking through the streets...of London...
I just loved my little room. Was a true pleasure staying there...
Moody mornings at Nevern Road.
Breakfast situation (which was probably lunch tbh caused by the dreamiest lie in so I couldn't really complain...*laughs*) - Self-portrait and some Vieeews - could ya ask for more?
Walked through Holland Park, which I really enjoyed because of its peacefulness and listened to some Lily Babe which was "Alright, Still"...*winks*
Oh what can I say...Notting Hill you're a colorful joy for the eyes...
The moment you find a mirror with good lighting, a red Double-Decker surprises you with his company and your fave Mop Tops provide good vibrations in your earholes.
Walked all the way to the crazy madness called Piccadilly Circus. I love this place...even though its quite touristy I always start smiling when I'm there. People walking your way, smile back at you, talk aggressively to their phone, sing along to their song that their listening to (this actually makes me smile even more every time), talk to you and invite you to a party or a coffee because they find you beautiful...Man, I love this city!
Busy Earls Court the next morning...
Oh London my Love, you were magical as always. Can't wait ta see ya very very soon.
xoxo
